Rays of Hope Learning Center was established in early 2021 to provide a holistic education for primary-aged Rohingya children in Gombak. Malaysia. We firmly believe that every child deserves to learn no matter their origin. And as a testament to that, we are actively working to ensure that every child here receives a good quality education and learns the necessary skills to thrive in the 21st century. The curriculum is based on a syllabus recommended by MOE Malaysia through a holistic approach. Our school is free of charge. We also provide our students with meals. transportation, books and stationaries, and monthly food parcels.
OBJECTIVES
a) To offer basic literacy and numeracy skills to Rohingya refugee children, empowering them with fundamental knowledge.
b) To promote cultural understanding and social integration among Rohingya and local communities in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia.
c) To provide a safe and nurturing environment for Rohingya children to develop their cognitive and emotional abilities.
ROHLC PHILOSOPY
• The philosophy of Rays of Hope Learning Centre is to provide holistic education to Rohingya refugee children in Gombak, Malaysia.Â
• The school aims to instill knowledge in students to develop their physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual dimensions to their highest potential.Â
• The education provided is based on the authentic teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, with a focus on teaching the names of things to develop a clear worldview.Â
• The school believes that education is the first task of every individual and that learning can only happen when one knows the names of things.Â
• By teaching the truth about reality and developing a clear worldview, the school aims to enable students to absorb new learning, produce knowledge, and acquire skills for their future.
